Whitethorn Jam with Apples

Ingredients
- 500 g whitethorn berries
- 1 apple
- 200 ml apple juice
- 400 g gelatin sugar (2:1)
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1 pinch cinnamon
- 500 g flour
- 1 packet baking powder
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 125 g butter (softened)
- 2 Eggs
- 250 g yogurt
- flour (for kneading and rolling)

Wash whitethorn fruits, peel, core, and chop apple. Add 200 ml apple juice to a pot and fill with water until the fruit is just covered. Simmer for 8–10 minutes until the berries are soft.

Press the fruit through a fine sieve or a "flotte Lotte" back into a pot. Stir in gelatin sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon; bring to a boil while stirring, then pour into preheated jam jars. Seal jars, invert them, and let cool.
