Ingredients

  • 1 small white cabbage (≈1 kg)
  • 2 carrots
  • 4 Spring Onions
  • 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
  • 4 tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • Salt
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

    Wash the cabbage, quarter it, trim the core and cut the quarters into fine strips. Peel the carrots and slice them into sticks or shave them. Wash the spring onions, trim them and cut 4-5 cm long strips.

    Whisk the ginger with the vinegar, sugar and sesame oil, then season with soy sauce and salt. Toss together the cabbage, carrots, spring onions and sesame seeds and let the mixture marinate in the refrigerator for about an hour.
