Spoonsparrow Whiskey-Eggnog: An American version of our egg punch – with plenty of kick!

Ingredients

  • 6 egg yolks
  • 60 g powdered sugar
  • 200 ml whiskey
  • 300 ml milk
  • 200 ml heavy cream
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • nutmeg

Instructions

    Beat the egg yolks with powdered sugar over a hot water bath until frothy and white. Add the whiskey and continue beating until the mixture becomes creamy (do not let it get too hot).

    Meanwhile, bring the milk, cream, and cinnamon stick to a boil. Let it steep for about 10 minutes. Remove the cinnamon stick and slowly pour the warm milk-cream into the egg mixture while stirring continuously.

    Pour the whiskey eggnog into glasses and season each with freshly grated nutmeg. Serve immediately.
