Ingredients

  • 100 g walnut kernels
  • 180 g wheat flour type 550
  • 100 g sugar
  • 150 g butter
  • 2 tbsp Amaretto
  • 100 g walnut kernels
  • powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

    Grind the walnuts. Mix flour, sugar and walnuts in a bowl. Add butter pieces and amaretto. Scrape everything with a knife until dry crumbs form, then knead into a smooth dough.

    Shape the dough into walnut-sized balls (about 15 g each) and place them on baking trays lined with parchment paper, leaving some space between them. Place a walnut half on each dough ball and press lightly. Bake in a preheated oven at 175 °C (gas: level 2‑3, fan: 160 °C) for about 15 minutes. Dust cookies with powdered sugar.
