Waldorf Salad

A fresh salad recipe featuring crisp celery, apples, and pineapple, served with a creamy dressing. Try this and other recipes from Spoonsparrow!

Ingredients

  • 250 g stalk celery
  • 250 g bulb celery
  • 3 small red apples
  • 4 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp chopped walnuts
  • 3 tbsp crème fraîche
  • 5 tbsp milk
  • 200 g canned pineapple
  • pepper (ground)

Instructions

    Wash the stalk celery, remove and chop the greens, dice the stalks. Peel the bulb celery and grate finely. Mix the grated celery with lemon juice. Wash, dry, quarter, core, and dice the apples. Combine stalk celery, bulb celery, and apples in a bowl.

    Whisk crème fraîche with milk until smooth and season with pepper. Add half of the walnuts to the dressing and mix into the bowl. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to meld flavors.

    Cut pineapple into small pieces. Gently fold into the salad.

    Serve the salad in bowls and sprinkle with remaining walnuts.
