Ingredients

  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 1 Red Onion
  • 1 red pepper
  • 400 ml tomato juice
  • 250 ml buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Tabasco
  • basil (for garnish)

Instructions

    Wash the tomatoes, cut off the stem ends and dice them finely. Peel and finely chop the onion. Remove seeds from the pepper and dice it as well.

    Set aside about half of the diced tomatoes, onion, and pepper. Blend the remaining vegetables with tomato juice and buttermilk until smooth. If needed, add a little cold water to reach the desired consistency.

    Season with Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and a few drops of Tabasco. For serving, pour into screw-top glasses and garnish with the reserved vegetable cubes and fresh basil leaves.
