Tomato Sauce with Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 1 Shallot
  • 1 chili pepper
  • 2 sprigs parsley
  • 1 tbsp plant oil
  • 150 g diced tomatoes (canned)
  • 100 ml Vegetable broth
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • Salt

Instructions

    Peel and finely dice the garlic and shallot. Wash the chili pepper, halve it lengthwise, remove seeds, and cut into fine cubes. Wash parsley, pat dry, pluck leaves, and finely chop.

    Heat oil in a pot, sauté garlic, shallot, and chili cubes for 2-3 minutes. Add tomatoes, pour in vegetable broth, season with pepper and salt, and reduce for 5-10 minutes until thickened. Stir in parsley, taste, cool, then transfer.
