Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

  • 800 g ripe tomatoes
  • 1 red chili pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • Salt
  • black pepper (freshly ground)

Instructions

    Parboil tomatoes for a few seconds, peel, quarter, seed and dice them.

    Cut the chili pepper lengthwise, remove seeds, wash and finely dice it.

    Peel and chop the onion, then sauté with the chilies in hot oil in a pot. Press in garlic cloves, continue to sauté, stir in tomato paste and tomatoes, cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
