Ingredients

  • 2 ciabatta rolls
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 1 ball mozzarella (125 g)
  • olive oil
  • balsamic vinegar
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1 bunch arugula (small)
  • 2 basil leaves

Instructions

    Cut the ciabatta in half. Wash the tomatoes and slice them. Drain the mozzarella and slice it.

    Wash, trim, and dry the arugula. Cut off any tough stems as needed.

    Brush the bottom halves of the ciabatta with a little olive oil, then top each with half of the arugula. Layer the tomato and mozzarella slices in a brick-like pattern on top, season with salt and pepper, and drizzle with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Sprinkle basil leaves over the top and place the upper ciabatta halves back on.
