Ingredients

  • 350 g cherry tomatoes
  • 250 g mini mozzarella balls
  • butter (for greasing the pan)
  • 175 ml whipping cream
  • 200 ml milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • chives (for garnish)

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) with upper and lower heat. Wash and halve the cherry tomatoes. Drain the mozzarella in a sieve. Grease the baking dish.

    Whisk together the cream, milk, eggs, and cornstarch; season with salt and pepper. Pour the mixture into the pan. Arrange the tomatoes and mozzarella on top. Bake for 20–25 minutes until the custard is fully set.

    Serve best hot, garnished with a touch of chives. Fresh baguette pairs well.
