A fresh tomato and mozzarella salad featuring vibrant mixed tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, aromatic basil, and a tangy balsamic dressing. Enjoy this simple dish from Spoonsparrow!

Ingredients

  • 1 kg mixed tomatoes (yellow and red, small and large)
  • 250 g mozzarella
  • a handful of basil
  • 4 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 6 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp freshly chopped oregano
  • Salt
  • chili flakes
  • a pinch of sugar

Instructions

    Wash, clean, and slice or cut the tomatoes into rounds, pieces, or wedges. Arrange on plates and crumble the well-drained mozzarella over them in small chunks. Strip the basil leaves, roughly tear them, and scatter over the salad.

    Whisk together the balsamic vinegar with olive oil, oregano, salt, chili flakes, and sugar to make the dressing; taste and adjust seasoning. Drizzle over the salad and serve immediately.
