Ingredients

  • 1 kg cherry tomatoes
  • 200 g dates
  • 1 untreated lemon (juice and zest)
  • 1 pinch Cinnamon powder
  • 1 star anise
  • 750 g brown sugar

    Wash, trim, and halve the tomatoes. Cut the dates into pieces. Wash the lemon hot and pat dry. Grate the peel and squeeze out the juice.

    Combine the prepared ingredients with cinnamon, star anise, and sugar in a pot; let steep for about 30 minutes. Then bring to a boil while stirring and simmer for approximately 10 minutes until bubbly. Transfer to prepared jars, seal immediately, and allow to cool.
