Papaya Orange Jam
Fatburner jam with papaya and orange: The fruit mix of oranges and papayas brings vitamin C to the breakfast table.
Ingredients
- 1000 g papaya (2 papayas)
- 500 g oranges (3 oranges)
- 500 g gelesugar (3:1)
Instructions
-
1.
Peel the papayas, halve them and remove the seeds.
-
2.
Cut the fruit flesh into small cubes.
-
3.
Skin the oranges thickly so that all white pith is removed.
-
4.
Separate the flesh from the membranes and add it to the papaya cubes. Squeeze out the membranes thoroughly and mix the juice with the fruits. The total should weigh about 1.3 kg.
-
5.
Add the gelesugar, mix well and let sit for about 2 hours. Meanwhile rinse four screw-top jars (400 ml each) and their lids with boiling water and set them upside down on a kitchen towel to drain.
-
6.
Place the papaya-orange mixture in a pot, stir until it boils, then simmer for 4 minutes while stirring.
-
7.
Pour the hot liquid into the prepared jars and seal with lids. Leave the jars upside down for 5 minutes, then stand upright. (When sealed and stored darkly, the jam lasts about half a year.)
