Ingredients

  • 150 g sugar
  • 200 ml strong coffee
  • 250 g mascarpone
  • 200 g crème fraîche
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 60 ml coffee liqueur
  • 85 g ladyfingers
  • cocoa powder (for dusting)

Instructions

    Bring coffee and sugar to a boil, simmer for 5 minutes, then let cool.

    Whisk mascarpone with crème fraîche until smooth. Mix coffee syrup (up to 8 tbsp) with vanilla extract and gradually fold into the cream.

    Place mixture in the freezer, stirring occasionally or finish with an ice cream maker. The ice cream should remain creamy.

    Stir remaining syrup with liqueur. Crumble ladyfingers and soak them in the mixture.

    Fill glasses, add a scoop of ice cream on top, freeze again. Remove 10 minutes before serving and dust with cocoa.
