Ingredients

  • 850 g starchy potatoes
  • 150 g flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Salt
  • 60 g Butter
  • 4 tbsp ground poppy seeds
  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions

    Wash the potatoes and cook them in plenty of water for 25-30 minutes until soft. Drain, peel, and press hot through a potato ricer. Knead with flour, egg, and yolk; let dough rest briefly. Add more flour if needed depending on potato variety.

    Shape the potato dough into finger‑shaped noodles about 8 cm long using wet hands. Boil in plenty of salted water for 4-5 minutes until cooked. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain.

    Melt butter in a pan, add the noodles, and brown briefly. Sprinkle with poppy seeds, toss, arrange on plates, and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
