Strawberry Tiramisu with Egg Liqueur
Strawberry Tiramisu with Egg Liqueur by Spoonsparrow: Here summer fruit meets mascarpone, ladyfingers and egg liqueur in a refined dessert!
Ingredients
- 250 g ladyfingers
- 60 ml orange liqueur
- 1 vanilla pod
- 400 g mascarpone
- 80 g powdered sugar
- 4 tbsp egg liqueur
- 100 g whipping cream
- 1 packet gelatin powder
- 600 g strawberries
- 50 g sugar
- 50 g amaretti cookies
- 4 tbsp strawberry sauce
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
Instructions

Line a deep rectangular baking dish with plastic wrap or place a cake plate in a rectangular frame. Arrange half of the ladyfingers on the bottom and drizzle with 30 ml orange liqueur.

Split the vanilla pod lengthwise, scrape out the seeds. Mix mascarpone with powdered sugar and vanilla seeds. Stir in egg liqueur. Whip the cream with gelatin until stiff peaks form and fold into the mascarpone mixture. Clean and slice strawberries into rounds, keeping three whole for garnish.

Spread the lower layer of ladyfingers with half of the mascarpone cream and top with half of the strawberry slices. Add another layer of ladyfingers over the strawberries, drizzle again with orange liqueur. Spread the remaining mascarpone cream on top and arrange the rest of the strawberry slices. Crush amaretti cookies and sprinkle them over the final layer.

Refrigerate the strawberry tiramisu for at least one hour. Remove the plastic wrap or frame, cut into eight portions, serve on plates, dust with powdered sugar, add a dollop of strawberry sauce, and garnish with sliced strawberries.
