Ingredients
- 300 ml cold coffee
- 50 ml almond liqueur
- 400 g ladyfinger biscuits
- 4 eggs
- 100 g sugar
- 750 g mascarpone
- 200 ml whipping cream
- 75 g dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)
Instructions
-
1.
Mix the coffee with the liqueur and briefly dip the ladyfingers. Line the edges and bottom of a loaf pan, lined with plastic wrap, with these soaked biscuits. Chill briefly.
-
2.
Separate the eggs. Beat the yolks over a hot water bath with sugar until pale and creamy (do not let it get too hot). Then beat them over a cold water bath to cool, and fold in the mascarpone.
-
3.
Beat the egg whites stiffly and fold into the cream mixture. Also whip the cream stiffly and fold in along with the chocolate shavings. Pour half of the mixture onto the biscuit layer in the pan. Place the remaining soaked biscuits lengthwise on top and pour the rest of the cream over them.
-
4.
Smooth the surface and cover with the remaining soaked biscuits. Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours. About 10 minutes before serving, remove the frozen tiramisu from the pan, peel off the wrap, and sprinkle with the remaining chocolate.
