Ingredients
- 2 kg strawberries
- 1 l water
- 750 g sugar (up to 1 kg as needed)
- 1 EL lemon juice
- 3 EL orange juice
- strawberries for serving
Instructions
-
1.
Wash, clean the strawberries, put them in a pot, crush and bring to a boil with water, then simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes. Place a strained cheesecloth over a second pot and pour the cooked fruit through it into the lower pot. Transfer the resulting juice to a pot, add sugar, lemon and orange juice, stir and reduce over high heat for about 5 minutes until the liquid has a slightly syrupy consistency. Skim off foam and immediately pour hot into well-rinsed bottles, sealing tightly.
