Strawberry Jam with Pieces

Erdbeermarmelade mit Stücken von Spoonsparrow: Für den Aufstrich wird das Sommerobst nicht püriert, sondern nur grob klein geschnitten – das spart Zeit!

Ingredients

  • 1 kg strawberries
  • 500 g gelatin sugar 2:1
  • 3 tbsp orange liqueur

Instructions

    Wash and clean the strawberries, then cut them into halves or quarters depending on size. Place strawberry pieces with the gelatin sugar in a pot, stir, and let the juice draw for about 2 hours.

    Meanwhile, boil jars in a large pot of hot water for approximately 10 minutes. Remove jars from water and set them upside down on clean kitchen towels to cool.

    Add orange liqueur to the strawberries and cook everything under stirring for 3–4 minutes until bubbling, skimming off any foam that forms.

    Fill the hot strawberry jam with pieces into the prepared jars. Seal the jars and leave them inverted for about 15 minutes, then turn them right side up and let cool.
