Ingredients
- 375 g flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 200 g sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 250 g butter
- 1 egg
- 120 g ground almonds
- 200 g white couverture chocolate
- 2 tbsp palm oil
Instructions
-
1.
Knead flour, baking powder, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, butter in pieces, egg and ground almonds into a ball, wrap in cling film and chill for 30 minutes.
-
2.
Roll the dough on a floured surface to about 3-4 mm thickness and cut out star-shaped cookies with a star cookie cutter. Cut small stars from the center of each cookie. Place cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 12 minutes until lightly golden brown. Remove and let cool slightly.
-
3.
Arrange the cookies side by side on buttered bread or parchment paper.
-
4.
Chop the couverture chocolate and melt it over a double boiler together with the palm oil. Set aside, let cool slightly, transfer to a freezer bag, cut a small corner off and decorate the cookies as desired with the chocolate. Let dry, gently lift from the paper and store in an airtight container.
