Ingredients

  • 500 g calamari
  • 5 tbsp oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 250 g shiitake mushrooms
  • 250 g Sugar snap peas
  • 150 ml chicken broth (canned)
  • 1 tsp Sambal Manis
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

    Wash, clean and slice the calamari into thin rings. Separate the tentacles. Mix 2 tbsp oil with fresh pepper, peel and press garlic cloves, then toss the calamari rings in the mixture. Clean the mushrooms and cut them into strips.

    Wash the sugar snap peas, trim ends and cut diagonally into large pieces. Whisk chicken broth with sambal manis and cornstarch. Heat remaining oil in a wok, add the snap peas and stir‑fry for 2 minutes.

    Add the mushrooms and cook for another 3 minutes. Push vegetables to the side, place calamari in the center and fry for 3 minutes. Pour in the broth, stir, bring to a boil once, then simmer while stirring for 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
