Spicy Sauerkraut

Recipe for spicy sauerkraut: The lactic acid present in the sauerkraut and its vitamin K content promote our natural gut flora.
Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 1 Garlic clove
- 250 g fresh sauerkraut
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp Paprika powder (sweet)
- 75 ml dry white wine (or vegetable broth)
- 200 ml apple juice
- 100 ml soy cream
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 tsp apple syrup
Instructions

Peel and finely dice the onion and garlic.

Rinse the sauerkraut in a sieve and drain well.

Heat oil in a pot, brown the diced onion and garlic until light brown.

Add the sauerkraut and stir for another 3–4 minutes.

Sprinkle paprika powder over it, then stir in the white wine.

Pour in the apple juice and bring to a boil. Cook for 20 minutes at medium heat, stirring occasionally.

Add the soy cream and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Season the sauerkraut with salt, pepper, and apple syrup to taste.
