Spicy Grilled Chicken Skewers

Ingredients

  • 450 g chicken meat (skinless, boneless)
  • 0.5 tsp paprika powder
  • 0.5 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp cumin powder
  • 0.5 tsp turmeric
  • Salt

  • 4 medium red onions (peeled and cut into thick wedges)
  • 8 small orange bell peppers (quartered lengthwise and seeded)
  • 2 red chilies (sliced into rings)

Instructions

    Wash and pat chicken dry. Cut into bite-sized pieces and mix in a bowl with the spices, salt, and 2 tbsp olive oil. Cover and marinate for about 1 hour.

    Thread the meat alternately with onions, chilies, and bell peppers onto long skewers. Grill over charcoal from all sides, brushing occasionally with more olive oil. Serve hot or cold with flatbread and a squeeze of lemon juice.
