Spaghetti Bolognese Original Recipe

Ingredients

  • 350 g ground beef
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1 onion
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • oregano (½ tsp dried)
  • basil (½ tsp dried)
  • thyme (½ tsp dried)
  • marjoram (½ tsp dried)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 100 ml milk
  • 2 cans peeled tomatoes (450 g each)
  • 2 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 50 ml beef broth (instant)
  • 400 g spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp chopped basil

Instructions

    Mix the ground beef with the spices, salt and pepper in a bowl.

    Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Heat the olive oil in a pot and brown the beef with the onion and garlic, then deglaze with milk. Add the tomatoes with their juice, lightly crush them, stir in the tomato paste, add the broth and simmer for 1½ hours over low heat, adding more liquid if needed; taste and adjust seasoning.

    Cook the pasta in plenty of boiling salted water until al dente, drain, let it stand briefly, then serve with the sauce and garnish with basil.
