Ingredients

  • 400 g mini bottle tomatoes
  • 100 g yellow cherry tomatoes
  • juice of one lemon
  • 400 g sugar
  • 200 ml vinegar
  • 50 ml fresh pressed orange juice
  • Salt
  • 2 chili peppers
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • garlic bulb

Instructions

    Clean, wash the tomatoes and make cross cuts at the stem end. Mix 250 ml water with lemon juice. Let the tomatoes soak for 30 minutes.

    Combine 400 ml water, sugar, vinegar, and orange juice. Season with salt, chili peppers, bay leaves, and garlic. Reduce over medium heat for 15-20 minutes.

    Add the tomatoes, simmer for another 5 minutes. While still hot, carefully fill prepared jars and seal tightly. It pairs well with grilled meat and fresh bread, or sweet pastries.
