Shortbread

Ingredients
- 125 g butter
- 60 g sugar
- 1 Tbsp vanilla sugar
- 200 g Flour
- a pinch of salt
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- flour (for dusting the work surface)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 160°C fan. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Cream the butter, sugar and vanilla sugar together until fluffy.

Sift the flour with a pinch of salt and baking powder into a bowl and mix.

Fold half of the flour mixture into the butter-sugar mixture, then knead in the remaining flour until a dough forms.

Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 4 mm thickness. Cut out shapes with cookie cutters and decorate with a fork and smaller cutters.

Place the cutouts onto the tray and bake for approximately 10 minutes. Let cool before carefully lifting them off the tray. Store the shortbread in airtight containers.
