Ingredients
- 225 g flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1 tsp sugar
- 0.5 tsp Salt
- 50 g softened butter
- 150 g yogurt
- flour (for working)
- 1 egg yolk

Preheat the oven to 200°C fan.

Knead the flour with baking powder, sugar, salt, butter and enough yogurt until the dough is smooth and easy to knead. Roll the dough on a floured surface to about 2 cm thickness. Cut out approximately ten circles (about 4 cm diameter). Place them on a lightly floured baking tray.

Whisk the egg yolk with 1 tbsp water and brush it over the scones. Bake in the hot oven for about 15 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack.
