Ingredients

  • 225 g flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 50 g butter
  • 50 g sugar
  • 50 g Raisins
  • 150 ml milk
  • flour (for working)
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp sugar (for sprinkling)

Instructions

    Add the flour and baking powder to a mixing bowl. Cut the butter into cubes and work it with the flour until crumbly. Mix in the sugar and raisins, then create a well in the center. Pour in the milk and stir. Knead on a floured surface into a smooth dough, adding more flour or milk as needed so it no longer sticks to your hands.

    Preheat the oven to 200°C fan.

    Shape the dough on a floured surface into a log, cut into 10-12 pieces, and form small balls. Place them side by side on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush with heavy cream, sprinkle sugar, and bake for 15-20 minutes.

    When the scones are risen and golden brown, remove from the oven and cool completely on a wire rack.
