Rye Bread with Goat Cheese and Honey

The rye bread with goat cheese and honey from Spoonsparrow is the perfect mix of savory and sweet.

Ingredients

  • 120 g goat cream cheese (45% fat in total)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 sprigs thyme
  • 4 slices rye whole-grain sourdough bread (60 g each)
  • 60 g walnut kernels (4 tbsp)
  • 2 tbsp liquid honey

Instructions

    Whisk the cream cheese with salt, pepper and lemon juice. Rinse the thyme, pat dry, remove leaves from stems and fold half of the leaves into the cream cheese.

    Cut the bread slices in half and spread the cream cheese on them. Sprinkle with walnuts and remaining thyme leaves, then drizzle with honey.
