Quinoa Breakfast

The Quinoa breakfast from Spoonsparrow provides a nutrient-rich start to the day with plenty of protein, fiber, and iron.

Ingredients

  • 200 g Quinoa
  • 500 ml almond drink (almond milk)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 600 g mixed berries (e.g., blackberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 3 tbsp almonds (15 g each)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

    Rinse quinoa in a sieve under hot water until clear. Bring almond drink, salt, and cinnamon stick to a boil in a pot, stir in quinoa, and simmer over low heat for about 15 minutes. Let it stand for another 5 minutes. Remove the cinnamon stick and sweeten with honey.

    Meanwhile wash berries and pat dry. Roughly chop almonds as desired.

    Distribute quinoa breakfast into bowls and top with berries, almonds, and ground cinnamon. Serve immediately while warm.
