Quarkcream with Rye Bread and Cherries

Ingredients

  • 500 g quark
  • 2 packets vanilla sugar
  • 50 g sugar
  • 100 ml milk
  • 100 g rye bread
  • 1 tbsp white rum
  • 100 g dark chocolate (grated)
  • 50 g chopped hazelnuts
  • 200 cherries (pitted)
  • 125 g whipping cream
  • chocolate shavings

Instructions

    Whisk quark with vanilla sugar, sugar and milk until smooth.

    Sprinkle crushed rye bread with rum and fold in grated chocolate and chopped hazelnuts.

    Layer the rye mixture, cherries and quark in glass bowls, finish with a layer of quark and chill for about 1 hour.

    Before serving beat the cream stiff, spread over the quark, and garnish with cherries and chocolate shavings.
