Ingredients

  • 1 kg pumpkin flesh
  • 6 untreated oranges
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 kg invert sugar (1:1)

Instructions

    Wash the pumpkin, halve it, remove seeds, trim off any hard rind if necessary, and cut the flesh into cubes. Rinse the oranges in hot water, peel two oranges, slice the peels into fine strips, and juice all oranges.

    Add the juice with 100 ml water and the pumpkin cubes to a pot and bring to a boil. Cook over medium heat for 15-20 minutes until soft, then puree. Add the orange peels, cinnamon, and sugar; simmer for 4 minutes while stirring constantly.

    Fill prepared jars, seal tightly, and leave upside down for about 10 minutes. Turn right side up and store in a cool, dark place.
