Porridge with Winter Fruit

The porridge with winter fruit from Spoonsparrow ensures a perfect start to cooler days.

Ingredients

  • 60 g fine oat flakes
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 150 ml boiling water (alternatively milk or plant-based drink)
  • 1 piece of winter fruit (50 g; e.g. apple, pear, persimmon, orange)
  • Spice to taste (e.g. cinnamon, vanilla)
  • 1 handful nuts (20 g; e.g. walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, cocoa nibs)

Instructions

    Mix the oat flakes and salt, pour over the liquid and let it steep covered for a few minutes.

    In the meantime, wash the winter fruit and cut it into bite-sized pieces or grate it into a puree.

    Add the fruit to the porridge and refine with spices and toppings as desired.
