Porridge Bars

The crispy porridge bars are very easy to prepare and the perfect healthy snack.

Ingredients

  • 150 g Davert (Oat Porridge Vanilla)
  • 80 g Davert (Chickpea Flakes)
  • 150 g coconut oil
  • 140 g Maple Syrup
  • 100 g dark chocolate

Instructions

    Mix oat porridge and chickpea flakes. Bring coconut oil with maple syrup to a boil in a pot and let simmer for about 1 minute over low heat. Combine the dry and wet ingredients together and pour into a baking pan lined with parchment paper. Press the mixture into a roughly 3 cm thick slab with straight edges using a spoon.

    Bake the porridge bars in a preheated oven at 170 °C (convection 150 °C; gas: level 2–3) for 10–15 minutes. Remove and let cool.

    Carefully cut the cooled mass into bar shapes.

    Melt chocolate over a double boiler. Dip each bar upside‑down into the chocolate and place on a cooling rack or parchment paper. Pour any remaining chocolate over the bars and chill until set.
