Pomegranate-Pineapple Bowle

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe pineapple
  • 2 ripe pomegranates
  • 40 ml orange liqueur
  • 2 bottles white wine
  • 1 bottle dry sparkling wine
  • mint (for garnish)

Instructions

    Peel the pineapple, quarter it lengthwise, remove the tough core and cut the flesh into small pieces. Cut the pomegranate in half and separate the seeds from the fruit, catching the juice. Remove the white membranes from the seeds.

    Combine pineapple pieces, pomegranate seeds, and juice in a large bowl. Drizzle with orange liqueur, cover, and refrigerate for about 2 hours. Add one bottle of wine, stir, and let the mixture chill again for approximately 1 hour.

    When serving, pour the remaining wine over the mixture, stir, and top with sparkling wine. Garnish the bowle with mint leaves.
