Ingredients
- 600 g flour
- 150 g finely ground almonds
- 200 g sugar
- 125 g honey
- 375 ml milk
- 150 ml oil
- 2 packets baking powder
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp gingerbread spice
- 75 g chopped nuts (optional)
- 75 g chopped dried fruit (e.g., plums)
- butter (for the pan)
- flour (for the pan)
- 150 g dark chocolate
- 1 Tbsp clarified butter
- star anise (for decoration)
Instructions

Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl and mix. Warm the milk slightly and dissolve honey in it. Add the honey milk and oil to the dry mixture and whisk thoroughly.

Grease a loaf pan with butter and dust it with flour. Pour the batter into the pan and bake at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 45-60 minutes, checking with a toothpick. Remove from oven, invert onto a cooling rack, and let cool.
