Ingredients
- 250 ml dry white wine (e.g., Riesling)
- 50 g sugar
- 0.3 g saffron
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 untreated lemon (juice)
- 4 ripe pears (e.g., Williams Christ)

Bring the white wine with about 250 ml water, sugar, saffron and lemon juice to a boil. Peel the pears, remove the core, and add them to the liquid.

Cover, remove from heat, and let cool to lukewarm. Arrange the pears in small bowls. Reduce the liquid into a syrupy consistency and drizzle over the pears. Serve immediately.
