Ingredients

  • 0.5 cube yeast (21 g)
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 400 g flour
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • flour for dusting
  • 250 g corn kernels (canned)
  • 250 g kidney beans (canned)
  • 1 red chili pepper
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 400 g ground beef (beef)
  • Salt
  • black pepper (ground)
  • 400 g diced tomatoes (canned)
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • chili powder
  • 200 g shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 spring onions (only the green parts)

Instructions

  1. 1.

For the dough, crumble the yeast into a bowl, stir in the sugar and about 175 ml lukewarm water until smooth. Add the flour, olive oil and salt and knead everything into a supple dough. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.

  2. 2.

Rinse the beans and corn in a sieve and drain. Wash the chili pepper, halve it, deseed and finely chop. Peel the garlic and also finely chop. Mix the chili with the ground beef. Season with salt and pepper and shape small meatballs from the mixture. Stir the tomatoes with oregano and season with chili and salt.

  3. 3.

Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F) on both lower and upper heat, along with baking trays.

  4. 4.

Shape the dough into 4 balls, roll each into a round flatbread about 22 cm in diameter on lightly floured surface and place on parchment paper. Spread the tomato mixture over the bases leaving a narrow edge. Flatten the meatballs and distribute them over the tomatoes. Sprinkle with vegetables, spread cheese on top and carefully transfer to the hot baking trays using the parchment.

  5. 5.

Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes until golden brown.

  6. 6.

Wash, clean and slice the spring onion greens diagonally into fine slices. Scatter over the pizzas and serve.
