Ingredients
- 2 red bell peppers
- 2 onions
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp White Wine Vinegar
- Salt
- black pepper (freshly ground)
- 1 tsp freshly chopped oregano
- 1 stale roll
- 1 Shallot
- 1 tbsp Rapeseed Oil
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
- 1 tbsp chopped thyme
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp Paprika powder (sweet)
- 1 tbsp spicy mustard
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 400 g mixed minced meat
- 1 tbsp breadcrumbs
- Salt
- black pepper (freshly ground)
- 4 sesame rolls
- 4 tbsp barbecue sauce
Instructions
-
1.
Wash, trim and slice the bell peppers into strips. Peel and cut the onions into rings. Combine both with oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and oregano, then transfer to a grill pan. Grill over high heat for about 10 minutes until tender, stirring occasionally.
-
2.
Soak the roll in lukewarm water for the burgers. Dice the shallot finely and sauté it in hot oil. Add chopped parsley and thyme, let cool slightly. Then mix the egg, drained roll, paprika powder, mustard and ketchup into the minced meat, adding breadcrumbs if needed to achieve a firm yet not too soft dough. Season well with salt and pepper. Shape into four patties and grill each side for about 3–4 minutes.
-
3.
Slice the rolls and briefly toast the cut sides on the grill. Brush the underside of each roll with 1 tbsp barbecue sauce and place a burger patty on top. Add the grilled vegetables and cover with the lid.
