Ingredients

  • 1 old-fashioned roll
  • 400 g ground lamb
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • breadcrumbs
  • Salt
  • ground pepper (from the mill)
  • oil (for frying)
  • 4 rolls
  • 4 iceberg lettuce leaves
  • 4 tbsp ketchup

Instructions

  1. 1.

Soak the old-fashioned roll in lukewarm water, then squeeze out excess liquid. Mix with ground lamb, egg, half of the coriander, chopped garlic, thyme, and curry powder. If needed, add breadcrumbs until the mixture is easy to shape. Season with salt and pepper. Form 8 small patties and fry each side for about 2-3 minutes in hot oil.

  2. 2.

Halve the rolls and, if desired, brown the cut sides in another pan. Wash, trim, and slice the lettuce into strips. Distribute the lettuce on the lower roll halves, place the lamb patties on top, and drizzle ketchup over them. Cover with the tops and serve.
