Ingredients

  • 4 large ripe pears (e.g., Williams, Abate or Conference)
  • 1 apple
  • 2 peaches
  • 2 plums
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp Maraschino liqueur
  • 2 lemons (juice)

Instructions

    Wash the pears, cut off the top third and carefully scoop out the remaining flesh with a teaspoon. Drizzle the inside of the hollowed pear with lemon juice. Dice the removed flesh and place it in a bowl. Set aside the pear tops. Wash, peel, halve, core, slice into wedges, and dice the apple. Add to the pears and drizzle with lemon.

    Wash the peaches, gently peel, halve, core, and cube them. Wash the plums, halve, pit, cube, and combine with the peach cubes in the bowl. Add sugar and Maraschino liqueur and mix well. Let sit for 15 minutes, then generously fill the pears, place the tops back on, and refrigerate for about 30 minutes. Serve cold.
