Ingredients

  • 100 g ground hazelnuts
  • 200 g Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 pinch ground vanilla
  • 150 g soft butter
  • 50 g sugar
  • 4 tbsp Maple syrup
  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 100 g peeled hazelnuts (roasted)
  • 1 mini muffin tin (with 24 cavities for extra small mini muffins)
  • 100 g legumes (for blind baking)

Instructions

  1. 1.

Mix flour with baking powder, hazelnuts and vanilla in a bowl. Beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Alternately fold the dry mixture into the butter mixture with maple syrup, adding gradually. Cover dough and rest 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 180°C.

  2. 2.

Roll dough thin on a floured surface and cut circles 6-8 cm diameter. Press circles into well-greased cavities so they rise high. Fill with legumes, bake in hot oven for 15-20 minutes. Immediately remove from cavities (remove legumes first) and let cool.

  3. 3.

Melt dark chocolate over water bath. Fill tartlets with 2-3 tsp chocolate and insert a hazelnut each. Drizzle with extra chocolate and chill until set.
