Pear Compote

Summer feelings from the jar: Try the pear compote by Spoonsparrow!

Ingredients

  • 3 kg pears
  • 2 untreated lemons (juice)
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • 400 g sugar

Instructions

  1. 1.

    Peel the pears, halve them and remove the core. Drizzle the pieces with lemon juice and layer them in pre-boiled jars. Add the cinnamon sticks and cloves.

    Boil about 1 l of water with the sugar and simmer for 2-3 minutes until sparkling. Completely cover the pears with the syrup solution.

  3. 3.

    Seal the jars and boil them in a large pot with 1 l hot water for 20 minutes. Store the jars in a dark, cool place.
