Paprika Pizza with Sausage

Ingredients

  • 250 g flour
  • 20 g yeast
  • 0.125 l water
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 250 g canned pizza tomatoes (chunky)
  • 1 garlic clove (pressed)
  • 1 tbsp oregano (dried)
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Sugar
  • pepper (ground)
  • paprika peppers (½ green and ½ red each)
  • 1 onion
  • 16 olives
  • 80 g chorizo
  • 200 g Gouda (medium aged)

Instructions

    Sift flour into a bowl, press a well in the center. Crumble yeast into a little water, pour into the well, dust with flour and cover for 15 minutes to rise. Add remaining water with salt and oil, knead into a smooth dough. Cover and let rise at a warm spot for 1 hour. For the topping heat olive oil, sauté pizza tomatoes, add garlic, oregano, salt, sugar and pepper, simmer on low for about 30 minutes. Grease baking sheet. Roll out two round dough sheets, press edges slightly up and spread tomato sauce over them. Clean, wash and slice paprika peppers into strips. Peel onion and cut thin rings. Slice sausage and cheese. Distribute paprika, onions, olives, sausage and pepper slices on the pizza base.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 220°C for about 20 minutes.
