Panierter Tofu

Ingredients

  • 600 g tofu (smoked, whole)
  • 1 chicken breast fillet
  • 1 cm ginger
  • 1 Spring onion
  • 1 Egg white
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp fish sauce
  • 16 spring roll wrapper sheets (frozen)
  • 80 g Sesame seeds

Instructions

    Coarsely chop the chicken breast and combine with the cleaned, roughly chopped spring onion, peeled ginger piece, fish sauce, and soy sauce in a blender; blend finely and stir in the egg white.

    Slice the tofu into 32 equal rectangular pieces. Spread the chicken mixture on half of the slices and top each with another slice.

  3. 3.

    Thaw the spring roll wrappers and wrap the tofu rectangles inside. Roll them in sesame seeds and press firmly to seal.

    Deep fry in plenty of oil until golden yellow. Drain on paper towels and keep warm at 100 °C in the oven.
