Ingredients

  • 0.5 l black tea
  • 0.375 l apple juice
  • 1 cm fresh ginger
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 6 cloves
  • 2 allspice berries
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 0.125 l dark rum

Instructions

    Add black tea and apple juice to a pot. Peel the ginger, add it whole with the remaining spices and sugar, and bring to a quick boil.

    Simmer the punch for about 15 minutes over low heat.

    Stir in the rum, heat briefly again, then pour hot into glasses, removing spices as desired or sweetening further.
