Ingredients

  • 650 g oranges (unprocessed from the organic store)
  • 1 lemon (unprocessed, from the organic store)
  • 500 g fruit sugar
  • 230 g sugar
  • 75 ml whisky

Instructions

    Wash oranges and lemon. Peel oranges, removing all white pith and cutting flesh into small pieces while collecting juice. Repeat with lemon. Remove as much white pith from orange and lemon peels as possible and slice peels into thin strips.

    Place orange and lemon pieces, collected lemon juice, and citrus peel strips in a pot. Add sugar and brown sugar, stir, and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer over medium heat for 5–8 minutes, stirring frequently. Finally add whisky. Transfer the mixture into jars, seal tightly, and let cool.
