Ingredients

  • 750 g tomatoes
  • 750 g onions
  • 750 g apples
  • 125 g ginger (1 piece)
  • 5 Oranges
  • 500 ml wine vinegar
  • 250 g sugar
  • 1 tsp salt

    Quarter the tomatoes, remove stems. Peel and roughly chop the onions. Peel and quarter the apples; remove seeds. Peel and finely dice the ginger. Peel and break the oranges into pieces.

    Bring tomatoes, onions, apples, ginger, and orange pieces with vinegar, sugar, and salt to a boil, cover and simmer for about 1 hour until the mixture has jam consistency, stirring occasionally. Pour hot into twist‑off jars.
