Mixed Salad with Cheese and Egg

Ingredients

  • 300 g mixed leaf lettuce (e.g., romaine, oakleaf, Lollo rosso, Lollo bianco)
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • 100 g spicy Gouda cheese (1 slice)
  • 100 g cooked ham (1 slice, no fat edge)
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs
  • 0.5 cucumber
  • 2 tbsp Red wine vinegar
  • 6 tbsp Olive oil
  • Salt
  • freshly ground pepper

Instructions

    Wash and dry the salad leaves, then cut into bite-sized pieces.

    Cut the cheese and ham into cubes.

  3. 3.

    Wash the tomatoes, remove stems, and quarter them.

  4. 4.

    Wash the bell pepper, quarter it, seed it, remove white membranes, and slice into strips.

    Wash the cucumber and slice it thinly.

    Whisk together vinegar, salt, and pepper, then slowly whisk in the olive oil to emulsify.

    Toss all salad ingredients with the dressing and arrange decoratively on plates.

    Peel the eggs, slice them, and place them on top. Finish by sprinkling a little more pepper over the salad.
