Ingredients

  • 1 kg potatoes
  • Salt
  • 100 ml whipping cream
  • 100 ml milk
  • Pepper
  • nutmeg
  • 1 large pear (preferably Williams Christ)
  • 40 g Butter
  • 2 tbsp pine nuts
  • sugar

Instructions

    Wash, peel, and quarter the potatoes. Boil them in lightly salted water until just cooked. Drain the cooking water and let the potatoes steam off.

    Press the potatoes through a masher. Warm the cream and milk together and stir into the potato mash. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Peel, halve, core, and dice the pear. Whisk the butter until foamy, add the pine nuts and pear cubes. Sprinkle with a little sugar and gently sauté until golden yellow. Mix into the mash and season to taste with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
